The Gardener’s Lodge is a naturalistic garden design studio working across England and Wales. We design deeply personal gardens around the people who live in them and the particular character of each place.
Biodiversity shapes every part of our approach, from the structure and planting to the habitats woven through the garden. Each space is designed to support wildlife, cope with a changing climate and become richer as it grows.
Above all, we create gardens that draw people outside, places to notice the seasons, live more closely alongside nature and feel at home.
The Design Process.
Before we start the design process, we take the time to listen to you, your dreams for your garden, and to the land itself: its constraints, its possibilities, and everything it has to offer. Both perspectives are equally important.
You’ll then be presented with a brief and concept of ideas, including inspiration, and a materials palette designed to complement both you and your home.
From there, we get down to the task of designing your ideal garden space, carefully planning the hard landscaping to maximise the area and selecting a planting scheme that will bring the design to life.
Once the final design is presented, you have the option to have our team oversee the installation, working with your contractors ensuring your vision is realised seamlessly from start to finish.
