On direction of the client owner the space takes subtle cues from Moroccan and Mediterranean gardens without becoming overly themed. Warm red chequerboard paving establishes the character of the space, complemented by rich, earthy materials, textural planting and moments of softness that evoke the warmth and intimacy of a courtyard garden.
Rather than trying to recreate a garden from another climate, these influences have been reinterpreted for Kentish Town. Familiar, resilient planting and a restrained material palette keep the garden grounded in its North London setting, while colour, pattern and texture bring a quiet sense of somewhere warmer.

Sienna Garden is designed as a natural continuation of the home’s bold, eclectic character. The rich terracotta-red chequerboard paving carries the confidence and colour of the interiors out into the garden, while playful details and an expressive planting scheme reflect the homeowner’s individual style.
Purple blooms forms the backbone of the planting palette, creating a rich contrast against the warmth of the terracotta tones. Together, these complementary colours have enough energy to hold their own against the colour-drenched interiors, while softer foliage and a considered composition bring balance. The result is a garden that feels connected to the personality of the home, bold and individual, but still refined and cohesive.
